Occupy PortlandStarted in October, 2011, Occupy Portland maintained one of the longest running camps in the country before being peacefully evicted from Lincoln Park after more than five months of nonviolent, radical community-building. In the months since, Occupy Portland has continued to be at the forefront of the struggle to liberate Maine from the vice grip of multinational corporations and has organized tirelessly to secure access to education and healthcare for all. Come visit! Join us for general assemblies, Wednesdays at 6pm in Congress Square. |
A call to Occupiers across the state! Filmmaker Crystal Zevon is travelling across the country "Searching for Occupy" and we want to show up in force to tell her all the things we have done, and are currently doing. This is a rallying call for all of us to attend the general assembly this week. Hope to see you all on Wednesday!
